Glass Assembler – 1st Shift Job Posting
Overview
The Assembler – Glass (2nd Shift) will work from 4:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, on an assigned production line and must follow the SOP for the specific job assignment. This role involves handling orders that require great attention to detail and meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Verify that the materials being used are correct by reading the production ticket.
- Ensure the materials meet quality expectations.
- Label units as needed.
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
- Verify that components are placed in the correct position according to SOP.
- Repeat tasks until assigned additional duties.
- Clean up the work area at the end of the shift.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills and basic math skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of all glass components.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Proficiency with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as nail guns, screw guns, routers, tape measures, and squares.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling parts and containers, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to organize and maintain detailed records.
- Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat and humidity due to the open environment of the facility.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to avoid disruptions in production and customer service.
- Follow all operational and safety SOPs as written.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- 1–2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Prior manufacturing or experience is not required but is preferred.
