PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Continuous Improvement (CI) / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Coordinator is the point person for the facility to the Regional CI Leader with coordination and leadership of all onsite continuous improvement projects. Creates rapport with floor personnel to garner genuine Voice of the Employee (VOE) ideas for Focused Improvement Projects and generates enthusiasm toward engagement in projects. Provides administrative and data collection functions for plant TPM related events, 6S, Blitz, Kaizen and Process Quality and Operations Training initiatives and events. The CI Coordinator assists with trending and educating floor personnel on the importance of their engagement toward continuous improvement efforts. Shares best practices with division and other internally affected work groups.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tracks plant continuous improvement efforts utilizing systems available.
  • Provides all TPM Step 0-3 and general awareness TPM training onsite.
  • Attends all TPM meetings, works with leaders to advance team capabilities in problem solving, critical thinking, and analysis of issues to root cause solutions.
  • Process expert in training on LEAN Tools
  • Maintains the plants TPM related scorekeeping, ensures all remain up to date, and audits weekly to ensure sustained activity.
  • Assist operations and maintenance in identifying and communicating any quality or process issues.
  • Owner/Administrator of plant SharePoint/Box site – responsible to create, organize, and maintain the site.
  • Use data driven decisions to help the Technical, Operations and Maintenance departments become more proactive in process control and reaction.
  • Train operations employees on how to read and understand the benefits of control charting.
  • Uses safe work practices and reports any hazardous conditions or unsafe acts.
  • Communicates and coordinates regularly with Shift Leader on product and process issues seen throughout shift.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
  • Regular on-site attendance is required.

  
JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred and 2+ years of TPM/Lean experience. Or Associate degree and 4+years of TPM/Lean experience
  • Prior experience with TPM deployment and leadership of AM, PM, FI and T&D Pillars
  • Demonstrated ability to improve business results by working through others.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change to deliver results.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • TPM (JIPM) certification
  • Proven track record of successful TPM implementation in a plant environment
  • Pillar Leader experience in AM, PM, FI
  • Experience leading a Daily Management Huddle
  • Project management experience.
