QA Inspector

SUMMARY

Perform testing for products being produced and on incoming raw materials. Ensures process control on the production line in critical quality assurance areas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates and performs testing for UL inspector when necessary.
2. Run all testing procedures in accordance with the specification and frequencies that are required. 
3. Enter all testing data into AQ system
4.  Assist operations and maintenance in identifying and communicating any quality or process issues.
5. Use data driven decisions to help the Technical, Operations and Maintenance departments become more proactive in process control and reaction.
6.  Assists with customer complaints as necessary
7. Train operations employees on quality aesthetics and testing procedures. 
8.  Monitor lab supplies and ensure proper on hand at all times.
9.  Understand Nuclear Weight Gage calibration process.
10.  Communicates and coordinates regularly with Shift Leader on product and process issues
11. Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed.
12. Follows all plant and safety rules and regulations.
13. Maintains good housekeeping in work area at all times

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

 • Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions

 • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills

• Must work well in team environment

• Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following: • High School Diploma or Equivalent

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

 • Standing and walking continuously for entire work shift up to 12 hours

• Climbing stairs to access all areas of quality control processes

• Working in and around fiberglass mat and asphalt fumes continuously without irritation
