DESCRIPTION:

OC Brüggen is part of Owens Corning’s Non Woven, Composites Solutions Business and produces glass non-wovens for flooring, ceiling, walls and GRP industries. The Brüggen Plant is located close to Mönchengladbach/Viersen (Germany) and Venlo/Roermond (The Netherlands) and it has 70+ employees, running 1 production line in a 24/7 shift model. In 2024 the production capacity will be increased with a second production line.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Manufacturing Leadership Program (m/f/x) participants complete two years of their program at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant for technical and leadership training. During this time participants will be mentored by seasoned technical, operations, and maintenance professionals. Participants will be challenged by the various leadership opportunities found in a manufacturing environment such as:

  • Safety leadership
  • Supervisory Leadership
  • Process and product technologies
  • Operational systems and management
  • Maintenance planning activities
  • Total Productive Maintenance methodologies

 

In addition, you will develop the following skills necessary to be an effective manufacturing leader:

  • Troubleshoot and problem sovle designs, materials, and/or processes
  • Leverage analytics & data-based decision making
  • Enhance leadership capabilities and lead teams
  • Effectively communicate and elevate performance of self and others
  • Strengthen technical expertise
  • Understand customer-driven focus

 

At the conclusion of the Manufacturing Leadership Program, you are offered a full-time assignment as a Supervisor/Leader at a European Owens Corning manufacturing plant.

  • Seeking an enthusiastic candidate who will take initiative to drive results, execute goals, and creatively navigate through tasks.
  • Demonstrates a desire to develop technical and leadership capabilities, in a manufacturing environment, while furthering their career and long-term impact on Owens Corning.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant STEM major and/or field
  • Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
  • If required: Willingness and flexibility to relocate
  • Languages: German (at least conversational level) and English (fluent)
