We are looking for a Sales Core Accounts Lead who will partner closely with the Commercial Leader - Nonwovens EMEA to accelerate our growth strategy and strengthen commercial execution in our core markets. The role is responsible for our largest customers across market segments, representing approximately €40 million in sales.
This is a pivotal role in the success of our business. You will leverage our winning cost position, protect margins, and drive growth above the market through disciplined price and volume decisions. You will work across Product Management, Application Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
- Deliver sustainable growth above the market by gaining share at existing accounts, activating dormant or underpenetrated accounts, and capturing cross-selling opportunities.
- Protect margins while enabling volume flexibility and effective plant loading through disciplined price and volume decisions.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders at large, mature accounts across Europe and strengthen Owens Corning's position as a recognized industry leader.
- Develop competitive customer offers and manage negotiations, pricing, contractual terms, credit discussions, forecasting, and opportunity management with strong commercial discipline.
- Create a unified, high-performing commercial approach by collaborating across functions, improving response speed, simplifying processes.
Skills and capabilities necessary to succeed
- Strong sales and negotiation capability, supported by sound business and financial judgment and the ability to structure competitive offers.
- Deep understanding of customer behavior, market value chains, competitive dynamics, pricing, and customer cost and value drivers.
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to assess deal economics, profitability, and price-volume mix and translate insights into clear commercial actions.
- Strong cross-functional and cross-cultural leadership, with the ability to influence and lead without formal authority.
- Independent, proactive, structured, and outcome-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to make complex decisions under time pressure.
- High integrity, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a team-oriented commitment to overall business success.
Business requirements
- University degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of business-to-business industrial sales experience, ideally in technical materials or nonwovens.
- Proven track record in competitive markets, price-and-volume-based deal making, and leading cross-functional or cross-cultural initiatives.
- Fluency in English; other European languages (French/German/Dutch) is an advantage
- Location: Brussels (BE), Apeldoorn (NL), Chambery (FR), or home office within reasonable proximity to the region. Approximately 40% travel is required to maintain strong customer engagement and internal alignment.
