Location: Remote or hybrid based in The Netherlands, Belgium or Germany, with the possibility to be based at our European sites in Apeldoorn (The Netherlands), Brussels (Belgium) or Brüggen (Germany).
About the position

As the Sales Leader of the newly formed Nonwovens Roof, you will drive profitable top-line growth through strategic leadership and customer-centric approaches in the commercial roof systems in Europe. This role involves leading a sales and application team, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and market expansion.
What does a typical day for this high impact role look like? Rarely are two days the same. One day you are collaborating with the Business Director to develop sales, marketing, and technical services strategies aligned to the broader Nonwovens division strategy The next day you are connecting with the cross-functional team (Application Engineers, Senior Management, Strategic Marketing) to build strategic partnership opportunities with key customers. And you are teaming up with Product leader and Science & Technology (S&T) working on breakthrough innovation. Then you are mapping customer stakeholders for a team-to-team alignment, developing customer sponsors and supporters and you are prioritising strategic projects, bringing value to the customer. Followed by leading an executive level review on the growth strategy for the business. This is truly a multi cross functional position that touches every function of the business.
What does success look like?
- Based on deep customer and market insights, develop products and services that resonate with customers, driving demand and fostering long-term loyalty.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of our Nonwovens Roof segment.
- Delivering and maximizing results by leveraging management systems to execute ambitious plans and adjusts as needed, by creating a shared sense of urgency, and by pursueing rapid results balancing diverse work styles and global schedules.
- Building and leading a Roofing Team, that is that is empowered to make decisions and provides meaningful challenges.
Skills and capabilities necessary to succeed

Business requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics or engineering
- Fluent in English mandatory and fluent in German preferred
- Relevant commercial experience in Building & Construction Markets, specifically in ”Roofing”
- Experience forming customers relationships (min. 5 years managing customers in the field)
- Roof commercial systems product & specification knowledge/experience preferred
- Experience in leading directly or indirectly multi functional teams
- Participation in the development of strategic plans
- Operating across geographic and cultural boundaries
- Demonstrated experience in project management
- Ability to travel 40-50% of time.
