We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions, with a strong focus on simulation and modeling of composite materials. This strategic role supports global customers and contributes to shaping the future of data-driven R&D in glass reinforcement composites.

Key Responsibilities

AI and Modeling Technologies (70%)

• Evaluate commercial AI/ML platforms for technical fit and scalability.

• Lead internal AI initiatives for composite modeling and product development.

• Apply supervised and unsupervised ML techniques to solve complex materials problems.

• Develop scripts to integrate AI tools with databases and simulation environments.

• Deploy AI solutions to enhance modeling productivity and support customer projects.

• Structure and streamline material property databases for faster decision-making.

Composite Design and Simulation (30%)

• Support global customers with advanced modeling of composite materials and systems.

• Create material data cards for structural and process simulations.

• Collaborate with international teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

• Provide technical insights to optimize performance and reduce costs.

• Document findings in technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or Data Science.

• 5–7 years of experience applying AI/ML in engineering or materials development.

• Proficiency in Python and scripting for AI tool integration.

• Familiarity with data science platforms (SQL, R, Spark, cloud-based environments).

• Experience with materials databases and simulation techniques (FEA, CFD, MD, DFT).

• Fluent in French and English.

• Willingness to travel (5–10%).

Preferred Experience

• PhD with focus on AI/ML applications in materials or engineering.

• Experience deploying commercial AI tools for R&D and product development.

• Expertise in composite modeling tools (Abaqus, Ansys, Digimat, Moldex3D).

• Background in composite testing and structure–property relationships.

• Proven collaboration with customers on technical solutions.
