The Manufacturing Finance Process Leader plays a pivotal role in driving the financial performance and operational efficiency of our manufacturing operations.

This role is crucial in enhancing the effectiveness of the Manufacturing Finance teams. The Manufacturing Finance Process Leader will lead initiatives to standardize and automate financial processes across the manufacturing function. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing best practices, and utilizing cutting-edge technologies to streamline workflows. The goal is to create a more efficient, consistent, and transparent financial reporting environment that supports better decision-making and drives continuous improvement.

This position is responsible for the comprehensive reporting of manufacturing performance, including actuals, plans, and forecasts.  By leveraging advanced financial analysis and reporting tools, the Manufacturing Finance Process Leader ensures that all financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance, with a proven track record of leading process improvement projects and implementing automation solutions. They will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders. This role requires a proactive and innovative mindset, with a commitment to driving excellence in all aspects of manufacturing finance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Process Standardization:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of current workflows within the manufacturing environment. Document these workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement standardized processes that enhance efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across the manufacturing finance function. Ensure these processes are scalable and adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Create and promote best practices for financial planning, forecasting, and closing activities. Ensure these practices align with industry standards and support accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Regularly review and update standardized processes to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. Address any changes in regulations promptly to maintain compliance.

 

Process Automation:

  • Evaluate existing financial processes to identify opportunities for automation. Focus on areas where automation can significantly enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Facilitate collaboration between IT and finance teams to implement ERP enhancements and AI-driven analytics. Ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems.
  • Lead the deployment of finance automation tools, ensuring successful integration with current systems. Monitor the performance of these tools and make necessary adjustments to optimize their effectiveness.

 

Change Management & Continuous Improvement:

  • Manage and lead projects focused on standardizing and automating financial processes. Ensure these projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate teams on new digital tools and standardized processes. Ensure team members are proficient in using these tools and understand the benefits of the new processes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of financial processes. Use these KPIs to drive continuous improvement and achieve financial goals.

 

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly standard analyses to the Manufacturing Finance teams and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department. Ensure these analyses are accurate, insightful, and actionable.
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of financial and statistical data. Implement controls and checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Continuously monitor financial processes to identify inefficiencies. Develop and implement action plans to improve data accuracy and process effectiveness.
  • Conduct benchmarking analyses to compare financial performance against industry standards and best practices. Use these analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of Manufacturing Finance experience.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems.  
  • Familiarity with data analytics tool (Power BI).
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% globally.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, CMA, CPA).
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with manufacturing and IT teams.
  • Experience operating in a highly matrixed and global organization.
