The Plant Leader oversees the activities of the manufacturing operations through a team of supervisors and group leaders and ensures that we produce quality products that are delivered to the customer complete and on time. The Plant Leader consistently improves the efficiency of labor, materials, and machines through TPM deployment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drives all company safety policies, practices and procedures to ensure 100% compliance
  • Deploys TPM accross the location which includes the area of safety, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time deliveries, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures
  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development and problem resolution in a way that supports the Blueprint
  • Monitors operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met/followed
  • Drives improvements in plant operations, manufacturing processes and standardized work procedures leading to productivity and efficiency
  • Oversees production supervision staff for all shifts
  • Oversees production schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations
  • Establishes and directs plant policies and procedures
  • Monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards
  • Responsible for operational labor metrics, improvement in the Team Improvement Process and OEE metrics
  • Lead and Support TPM implementation and improvement opportunities throughout the plant and be the plant ambassador for quality and process excellence
  • Full P&L responsibility; works closely with finance to partner towards sales objectives

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations Management  or equivalent experience in similar position
  • 8 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bilingual (English, Spanish) is an asset.
  • Computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook are required
  • General accounting knowledge needed
  • Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to build strong teams and clearly articulate roles and responsibilities
  • Have a passion for safety and employee engagement
