Owens Corning Doors is seeking a Maintenance Lead (Manager) to join our Maintenance Department at our high‑volume Interior Door Manufacturing Facility in beautiful Chilliwack (Yarrow), BC.

Role Overview:
As the Maintenance Lead (Manager), you will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing a reliability‑focused maintenance strategy that supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
This role directly impacts daily output, equipment uptime, and long‑term asset health. You will lead a skilled trades team, partner closely with Operations and Engineering, and drive the evolution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and reliability best practices across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a skilled maintenance team including:
- Maintenance Team Lead
- Red Seal Journeyman Millwrights
- Millwright Apprentices
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, trust, and continuous improvement
- Support trade certification progression and apprenticeship development
Maintenance Strategy & Reliability
- Design and sustain a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework
- Drive data-based decisions using failure history, condition monitoring, and reliability metrics
- Lead RCA, FMEA, and structured problem-solving for chronic downtime issues
- Improve KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and uptime
Equipment & Asset Management
- Oversee maintenance of:
- Trim saws (legacy equipment)
- Glue spreaders
- CNC and architectural machining equipment
- Sanding, bonding, and automated door systems
- Reduce downtime and extend asset life through modernization strategies
- Recommend rebuilds, upgrades, and capital replacements based on ROI and risk
Systems, Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Optimize the plant CMMS / work order system
- Improve backlog management, planning accuracy, and documentation
- Manage contractors, vendors, and critical spare parts strategy
- Support capital projects, new installations, and major upgrades
- Contribute to maintenance budgeting and long‑term asset planning
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Credentials
- Red Seal Trade Certification (Millwright strongly preferred; Electrical considered)
- Post-secondary education in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines
- Engineering or Project Management education/certification is an asset
Experience
- 7–10+ years in a senior maintenance leadership role within manufacturing
- Proven experience with TPM or reliability-based maintenance
- Strong background managing legacy equipment and reducing chronic downtime
- Experience in high-volume, automated manufacturing environments
- Exposure to wood products manufacturing is an asset
Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical knowledge
- Experience with CMMS systems and reliability metrics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and change-management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $99,000 - $125,000 annually
- Band: 5B
- Annual Company Incentive Plan: Up to 10%
