This role is critical to keeping our production lines running smoothly. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve a wide range of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
We welcome applications from Red Seal Journeyperson Millwrights as well as 3rd‑Year Apprentices who are ready to grow their skills in a supportive, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and document findings in the maintenance logbook.
- Identify developing issues through downtime reports, operator feedback, PMs, and visual inspections.
Repairs, Fabrication & Installation
- Dismantle, repair, rebuild, modify, install, align, and move machinery and equipment.
- Perform welding, machining, metal fabrication, fitting, and layout work as required.
- Replace or repair electrical devices within scope of competency.
- Fabricate emergency parts when needed to keep production running.
Documentation & Communication
- Complete work orders accurately, including machine details, repair notes, parts used, and time spent.
- Communicate shift activities, repairs completed, and outstanding issues to off‑shift maintenance staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; no job is complete until cleanup is done.
Collaboration & Safety
- Work closely with Production Supervisors to reduce downtime and coordinate repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures and support a safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and equipment reliability projects.
Qualifications:
Required
- Red Seal Millwright Certification or 3rd‑Year Millwright Apprentice enrolled in a recognized program.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with work order systems and inventory tracking.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work safely in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred (Assets)
- Experience with PLCs or polyurethane injection molding equipment.
- Welding and fabrication proficiency.
- Knowledge of industrial safety programs (Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Hazard Communication).
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment controls and instrumentation.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Dependent upon Red Seal Certification or level of Apprenticeship, the hourly rate for this position will range between $38-45/hour.

Schedule:
40-hour work week, with option and/or required overtime.
We have some flexibility in scheduling and that will be determined upon hire.
