We are looking for a Sales Leader for DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) Industry business to be responsible for Owens Corning’s FOAMGLAS industrial markets, predominantly in the process industries – mainly oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, but also including food, beverages, energy storage and nuclear.
In this role you will be working closely with key accounts, contractors, and EPCs, overseeing tenders and maintenance projects across your region. In this hybrid role you will provide leadership for Sales Leads working independently in their own areas as well as managing daily sales operations yourself also. This role involves setting long-term strategies for the segment, focusing on innovation in line with short, medium, and long-term business objectives. Collaboration across the matrix organization is essential for business success as well as maximizing the business opportunities through value-based selling.
You will be responsible for the promotion and selling of the complete FOAMGLAS Industry portfolio in line with Business Strategy. This will involve the identification of appropriate sales opportunities, Specifications and Commercial realization of key projects within our segmentation strategy. As a commercial leader, you will also be responsible for collecting, understanding and acting upon relevant data, including industry data forecasting and reporting.

- You understand the customers’ needs (all stakeholders in the value chain e.g. EPCs, contractors, distributors and owners(oil & gas, petrochemical, tank storage, etc.)) to create and provide solutions that bring value to them and to capture fair value for Owens Corning.
- You have built and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
- You are providing solutions that align with FOAMGLAS capabilities and customer needs.
- You are leading and developing your people for future growth.
- You have set-up the region for further expansion and commercial success.
- You have achieved a strong coordination and interaction with different stakeholders internally (Operations, MarCom, Finance, …)
Skills and capabilities necessary to succeed
- Strong Technical Background: Industrial Engineer or BSc in a technical field, or equivalent through experience with a proven track record.
- Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in the industrial insulation sector, with deep familiarity with insulation contractors, specifiers, and asset owners.
- Strong relationship management and customer insight skills.
- Regular engagement with European sales teams to drive results.
- Clear communication of value propositions to customers.
- Growth mindset and willingness to evolve with the business.
- Talent development mindset and ability to work across cultures.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Collaborative leadership and team-building skills.
- Ability to inspire, influence, and energize others.
Business requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Economics.
- 5+ years of experience managing and coaching sales teams.
- 5+ years of experience contributing to mid- and large-scale industrial projects.
- Fluent in English and German
- Experience in technical sales within industry, with understanding of long-term sales cycles.
- Background in manufacturing or building materials is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership in international organizations, both vertically and horizontally.
- Customer-oriented with a solution-driven approach.
