About the position

How does it sound to work for a global innovation leader that has a track record of transforming building and construction practices to higher performing, more sustainable materials? To be able to have direct impact on building an industry leading growth platform?

 

In this role, as Sales and Business Development Manager you will be responsible for expanding the use of Specialty Reinforcement Fibres in Cement and Concrete Applications in Europe (including Drymix Mortars, Precast and Ready-Mix Concrete). You will play a crucial role in defining a strategy for business development in new markets and applications, as part of a small specialist team.

 

What does a typical day for this high impact role look like? Rarely are two days the same. One day you are partnering with the Global Sales / Business Development Team to build strategic partnership opportunities with key customers. The next day, you are teaming up with the Global Technical Development Centre working on breakthrough innovation. You may also be representing the company’s interests in a Trade Association meeting where industry standards and specifications are being developed, or meeting with the European Supply Chain team to define future production plans. This is truly a position that touches every function of the business.

Business requirements

  • Degree level or equivalent in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Construction / Concrete, and ideally some understanding of structural engineering is preferred.
  • Excellent German language skills, and business level English required.
  • Sales / Marketing / Technical experience in a Construction / Building Materials related international business environment.
  • Understanding of the Drymix, Precast and Ready-Mix Concrete industries would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work in multi-cultural teams, to influence business development strategy and actively contribute to the many ongoing projects.
  • Location: position is home office based in Germany with the ability to travel overnight up to 25% of time.
