Job Summary:
The Global IT Leader of Enterprise Applications is a highly skilled and experienced leader responsible for the deployment and sustainment of the SAP S/4 Cloud platform and ecosystem for our large multinational company. In this pivotal role, the Leader will be at the forefront of our digital transformation journey, driving innovation and excellence in our enterprise processes to the shop floor. The Leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to ensure seamless implementation and integration, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
Owens Corning Glass Reinforcements is a business unit of Owens Corning that is in the acquisition sign to close process. Owens Corning has signed an agreement to sell Glass Reinforcements to the Praana Group. The deal is expected to close by end of 2025. The path ahead will be dynamic, full of change, and expected to be fast paced with a change in ownership. The business operates from twenty (20+) locations across the globe. The information technology environment supporting our new company is being built from the ground up in terms of IT infrastructure and applications with the opportunity to leverage new technologies and new ways of thinking as we look to end a transition services agreement associated with the acquisition as soon as possible. Our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) landscape is comprised of multiple instances across the globe. We seek to consolidate and simplify our ERP landscape to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our operations for decades ahead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Application Leadership: Lead the end-to-end deployment of SAP S/4 Cloud across the global organization, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. Provide technical leadership and business-value guidance to global project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Enterprise Architecture: Architect and design robust SAP and non-SAP solutions to meet complex business requirements and drive innovation with using a fit-to-standard and fit-to-suite mindset. Implement the principles of enterprise architect and technology roadmaps to deliver the best value for the company. Implement industry best practices and standards to maintain the quality and integrity of enterprise solutions while adhering to IT standards and data governance principles.
- Non-ERP Applications: Oversee the seamless integration of SAP S/4 Cloud with existing enterprise applications, ensuring a consistent fit-to-standard approach, optimal performance, and scalability for growth.
- AI Technology: Explore and apply artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI, to drive productivity and gain a competitive advantage. Identify opportunities for AI integration in business processes and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and innovation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior stakeholders, functions, project teams, and key suppliers to gather detailed requirements and develop comprehensive portfolios and project plans for enterprise applications.
- Financial Leadership: Oversee and guide application portfolio and project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring delivery within scope and on schedule. Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues, ensuring a proactive approach to problem resolution.
- Portfolio Communications: Communicate the portfolio and project status, risks, and solutions effectively to senior management, stakeholders and project teams, facilitating informed decision-making, forward momentum, and team engagement.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of IT professionals. Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional project teams.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- ERP Experience: Minimum of 15 years of hands-on SAP experience, with a focus on large-scale deployments. Expert-level knowledge of SAP S/4 Cloud deployment methodologies, including, but not limited to the SAP business transformation toolset, SAP clean core, SAP BTP, and the SAP Business Suite.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of digital workplace solutions, Microsoft licensing, hybrid computing, network architecture, IT Security operations, IT help desk operations, and endpoint management. In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks, risk management, and security technologies. Implemented cutting-edge security solutions, such as advanced threat detection systems
- Financial Management: Strong financial management skills, with the ability to manage complex portfolios and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines and budgets. Demonstrated success in managing and delivering complex SAP projects on time and within budget.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Strong understanding of enterprise business processes and the ability to translate them into effective enterprise solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to travel internationally as required for project coordination and implementation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. A master's degree, equivalent work experience, or relevant professional SAP certifications is preferred. On the job experience delivering full-service application solutions for a global manufacturing company across multiple functions is required.
Work Conditions
- Potential 20% travel time required.
- Due to the team structure, virtual meeting formats, time zone differences, and appropriate meeting times, extended work hours may be required.
