Job Summary:

The Global IT Leader of Infrastructure & Security is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of the IT infrastructure and IT security for a global manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a complex and diverse IT environment, ensuring the seamless integration of various systems and platforms to support our global operations. The IT Security role is a critical component of this position, as it entails overseeing all aspects of IT security to protect the company's IT assets from internal and external threats. Developing and implementing robust security policies, procedures, and controls are essential to ensure data integrity, availability, and confidentiality. An effective IT Security strategy is vital to running business operations in a safe and secure manner, as it helps prevent data breaches, unauthorized access, and other security incidents that could disrupt operations and harm the company's reputation.

Owens Corning Glass Reinforcements is a business unit of Owens Corning that is in the acquisition sign to close process. Owens Corning has signed an agreement to sell Glass Reinforcements to the Praana Group. The deal is expected to close by end of 2025. The path ahead will be dynamic, full of change, and expected to be fast paced with a change in ownership. The business operates from twenty (20+) locations across the globe. The information technology environment supporting our new company is being built from the ground up in terms of IT infrastructure and applications with the opportunity to leverage new technologies and new ways of thinking as we look to end a transition services agreement associated with the acquisition as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Information Technology Leadership: Lead a team of IT professionals to ensure the delivery, support, and lifecycle management of the IT infrastructure. This includes overseeing the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of hardware and software supporting all company operations.
  • IT Infrastructure Design and Management: Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of the IT infrastructure to support the company's global operations. This includes ensuring the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable to meet the company's business needs.
  • IT Security: Oversee all aspects of IT security to protect the company’s IT assets from internal and external threats. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data integrity, availability, and confidentiality. Lead the response to security incidents and breaches, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting. Coordinated a cross-functional team to address a major security breach, resulting in minimal data loss and swift recovery. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks to company operations.
  • AI Technology: Explore and apply artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI, to drive productivity and gain a competitive advantage. Identify opportunities for AI integration in business processes and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, business units, and external partners to understand business requirements and align IT strategies with organizational goals. This includes facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects.
  • Financial Leadership: Oversee and guide application portfolio and project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring delivery within scope and on schedule. Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues, ensuring a proactive approach to problem resolution.
  • Portfolio Communications: Communicate the portfolio and project status, risks, and solutions effectively to senior management, stakeholders and project teams, facilitating informed decision-making, forward momentum, and team engagement.
  • Digital Workplace Solutions: Implement and manage digital workplace solutions to enhance productivity, collaboration, and communication across the organization. This includes deploying and maintaining tools and platforms that support remote work, virtual meetings, and team collaboration. Manage Microsoft licensing requirements and ensure compliance across the organization. This includes understanding licensing models, negotiating agreements, and optimizing license usage to maximize cost efficiency.
  • Hybrid Computing: Develop and maintain hybrid computing environments that leverage both on-premises and cloud-based resources. This includes designing and implementing strategies for cloud migration, data integration, and workload management.
  • Network Architecture: Design and manage the company's network architecture to ensure high performance, security, and reliability. This includes overseeing the implementation of network infrastructure, managing network performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • IT Help Desk Management: Oversee the IT help desk operations to ensure timely and effective support for end-users. This includes developing support processes, managing help desk staff, and implementing tools and systems to streamline support operations.
  • Endpoint Management: Manage all endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IoT devices. This includes implementing and maintaining endpoint management solutions, ensuring device security, and managing software and hardware lifecycles.
  • IT Governance and Compliance: Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This includes managing risk, ensuring data privacy, and implementing security measures to protect the company's IT assets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. This includes conducting regular assessments of the IT infrastructure and security, and implementing changes to enhance performance, security, and efficiency.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of IT professionals.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven track record of designing and managing complex IT environments for large organizations.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of digital workplace solutions, Microsoft licensing, hybrid computing, network architecture, IT Security operations, IT help desk operations, and endpoint management. In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks, risk management, and security technologies. Implemented cutting-edge security solutions, such as advanced threat detection systems.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. A master's degree, equivalent work experience, or relevant professional certifications is preferred.

Work Conditions

  • Potential 20% travel time required.
  • Due to the team structure, virtual meeting formats, time zone differences, and appropriate meeting times, extended work hours may be required.
