Maintenance Apprentice

To perform basic maintenance tasks with the Denver plant while developing higher skills in mechanical and electrical areas to become an apprentice technician within a nationally recognized accreditation.
Basic Maintenance Tasks:
Safety requirements:
- Ensures that all safety observations are completed and documented in a timely manner.
- Properly executes accident investigations on OSHA recordables and follows up to make sure all action items are completed in a timely manner.
- Identifies hazards associated with the work area(s) and job task(s) to be performed.
- Properly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate for the hazards of the task(s).
- Knows and follows all Emergency Action Plans and Procedures related to the work area.
- Participates actively in all safety programs established in the plant.
- Reports all incidents, injuries, illnesses, fires, and spills.
- Follows all plant safety rules and policies relevant to the work area(s) or task(s) being performed.
- Assist team technicians during process upsets or scheduled maintenance days.
- Performs PM’s as they are scheduled on specific equipment.
- Clean up immediately after a job is completed and maintain quality house-cleaning program.
- Must keep the parts accountable in the store room.
- Must keep the parts and tool room organized and cleaned.
- Must work with other employees in a team professional like manner.
- Must be proficient with basic computer skills; specifically SAP and complete assigned tasks within the SAP system.
- Follow the scheduled jobs unless given approval to deviate from the scheduler, planner or maintenance leader
- Provide support to the Maintenance Leader, Planner, and Scheduler on jobs to be performed.
