Reports to: Maintenance Leader
Pay Rate: $39.03 / Hourly

Job summary:
The Reliability Technician applies reliability best practices to eliminate sources of repetitive failure in equipment and processes. The role involves acquiring process and equipment data, analyzing this data which defines reliability problems and recommend improvements. Developing plans to reduce or eliminate production losses and high maintenance costs, ensuring the execution of these plans enhance production efficiency.
Maintenance Technicians duties include following all necessary safety protocols and procedures, keeping work areas clean, maintaining equipment records, interacting daily with the Maintenance Management System (SAP), and helping to develop and maintain preventive maintenance tasks and schedules. This position requires individuals to make skill-appropriate decisions, especially when working alone, and to demonstrate both leadership and teamwork as situations demand.
Typical Duties:
- Maintaining a clean area
- Safe workplace and assigned areas
- Inspects plant equipment to identify potential problems prior to breakdown occurrences.
- Ability to properly, align belt, gear or direct coupled shafts using proper tools to specified tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machinery and components, electrical and mechanical
- Installs, modifies or maintains plant equipment
Requirements Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work varied schedule, including on-call
- Production maintenance experience preferred
The ideal candidate would have:
- Motivation to learn and advance as an Owens Corning employee
- Manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Fabrication experience
- Mechanical background
- Electrical background (preferred)
