Job Title: TPM Coordinator
Department: Hourly
Reports to: Operations Leader
Supervises: N/A

SUMMARY
The Total Productive Maintenance Coordinator (TPM) is the point person for the facility to the Regional TPM Coach to coordinate all onsite TPM actions. The role exists to support/drive the establishment of TPM as the natural way we run our operations. This Coordinator will focus on engaging all operators to move activity teams forward, as well as making progress with our pillars. The TPM Coordinator will provide administrative, data collection, data analysis, reporting, and communication functions for, 5S, Blitz, pillar projects, and AM Activity Teams. The person in this role will be a key player in advancing AM Teams and Site Masterplans.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Calibrates with Site Leader to support actions to meet our Masterplan objectives
- Calibrates with Operations Leader to drive results of AM Steps 1-4 completion
- Core Team member of AM Pillar, FI Pillar, PM Pillar, T&D Pillar, and EHS Pillar
- Fills in as AM Pillar Leader when needed
- Attends all TPM meetings, works with leaders to advance team capabilities in problem solving, critical thinking, planning, and analysis of issues to root cause solutions
- Provides training for 8 hour AM Bootcamp, AM Step 0 launch, new hire TPM introduction, TPM methods, and TPM concepts
- Works well with Coordinators, Supervisors, Mechanics, Operators, and Pillar Leaders
- Spends 75% of their time of more with primary employees on hands on activities
- Support projects targeting zero loss
- Develops learning tools to close knowledge gaps
- Escalates and follows through on AM and FI Activity Teams needs through DMS
- Supports the implementation and evolution of our Daily Management System to incorporate primary employees
- Implements and sustains 5S standards and their auditing process
- Works with Pillars to establish processes and systems for sustainable TPM practices
- Brainstorm recognition and rewarding for TPM accomplishments
JOB REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS AND ABILTIES
The employee should hold the following abilities:
- Able to effectively read and communicate (oral and written), in English
- Ability to work independently or as part of a functional team and lead others
- Attention to detail is a critical skill requirement
- Must possess strong organization skills and work ethic
- Strong math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages) and apply simple mathematical formulas
- Strong knowledge of JIPM TPM
- Can teach through visual, hands on, sound, and written trainings
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Success of this role is measured by accomplishing AM KPIs and increasing overall TPM assessment score year over year.
- Their ultimate goal is to develop operators through Autonomous-Maintenance, while gaining support from all Pillars to get all A-Ranked equipment to step 4.
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPETENCIES
The employee must be able to:
- Advanced computer literacy is a mandatory skill – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and databases. A large portion of this role involves written/computer based
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- 2-year degree preferred, but can be working toward this goal
- Current/prior strong involvement with TPM teams
- Leadership training/experience
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
- Stand for 12 hours straight
- Perform fine motor skills such as typing and writing for 12 hours straight
- Able to climb and descend stairs or ladders; work at elevated heights
- Must be able to squat, bend at the waist, and knees freely
- Exposure to ambient temperature extremes (<32 degrees F and >100 degrees F)
- Distinguish colors on signs, signals, and alarms
- Bending, twisting, and repetitive movements
- Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
- Working in and around fiberglass mat and asphalt fumes continuously without irritation
