The Production Associate is responsible for supporting manufacturing and production operations by assembling products, operating equipment, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production, assembly, packaging, and material handling tasks.
- Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established procedures.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and report defects or issues.
- Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility as needed.
- Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting.
- Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic work instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or production experience.
- Experience operating production equipment or industrial machinery.
- Forklift certification or experience (if applicable).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions, depending on the facility.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing or production facility environment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated.
- May require overtime, weekends, or shift work based on production demands.
