Downstacker Robot - Operator

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00pm-7:30am

Pay Rate: $23 plus shift differential

The Heritage De-Stacker Robotic Cell Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring an automated robotic cell that de-stacks and handles doors and stacks cardboard as required. The operator controls the robot through the cell interface, selects the correct program or mode as instructed, and verifies the cell is set up for the current product and schedule. This role manually lifts and positions doors as needed for loading/unloading, removes and stacks cardboard, and maintains an orderly flow of material through the work area. The operator monitors robot and cell operation, responds to alarms, performs basic adjustments and troubleshooting within trained limits, and coordinates with maintenance and supervision when issues arise. The operator verifies product and door quality, records required production and scrap information, and keeps the cell, guarding, and surrounding area clean by removing debris and disposing of waste in designated locations.

• Inventory: Manage and be aware the inventory levels in the production area.
• Productivity: Measure the efficiency of equipment and personal skills.
• Build trust: By knowing how to communicate issues and problem solve while maintaining integrity.
• TPM – learn and complete AM tasks as required, maintain the work area to meet 5S standards, report all abnormalities as needed to ensure optimum operation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be mechanically inclined and have good math and measurement skills.
• Must read and write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have good attendance and safety records.
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities.
• This position requires high attention to detail.
• Must be a regular, full-time employee with at least 6 months in current position. – (Once Fort Mill Masonite has 6 months of service this will apply to all postings)

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.
• The employee is frequently required to perform repetitive motions.
• The employee frequently is required to use hands to feel or handle, manually slide and flip cores, and to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; and up to 80 lbs with assistance and is frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, walk, pull, reach, and ability to so at a fast pace.
• Ability to handle multiple parts and to stand throughout entirety of shift.
• The employee will be working in a facility with a high level of forklift traffic.
• Intense and high level of concentration to focus on product quality and productivity.
• Strong eye/hand coordination.
• Ability to work in a mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions, with a significant amount of dust.
• Good attendance and ability to work overtime and weekends when circumstances and workload requires, as assigned by management.
