Job Summary:
The MRO Clerk is responsible for supporting maintenance and production operations by managing the inventory and distribution of maintenance, repair, and operations supplies. This role ensures accurate tracking of tools, spare parts, and consumables, assists with procurement processes, and maintains detailed records to support equipment reliability and operational efficiency. The MRO Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring that essential materials are available when needed and that all inventory and maintenance data is accurately recorded and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts regular physical inventory counts of MRO supplies and enters data into inventory systems.
  • Issues tools, spare parts, and production supplies based on work orders, tool lists, or supervisor instructions.
  • Tracks tool usage, damage, and repair needs; coordinates sharpening or replacement as necessary.
  • Assists in the creation and entry of maintenance work orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Maintains accurate records of equipment repairs, tool withdrawals, and inventory receipts.
  • Supports the ordering process by obtaining price quotes and assisting with procurement of MRO items.
  • Organizes and maintains spare parts storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
  • Investigates discrepancies in supply usage, tool loss, or excessive consumption.
  • Compiles maintenance data and generates reports, charts, and spreadsheets for analysis.
  • Maintains files related to purchase orders, preventative maintenance, and other departmental documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the maintenance and production teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with tooling, spare parts, and production equipment used in manufacturing and maintenance environments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and maintenance management systems (e.g., MP2).
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and reports for data analysis and tracking.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while following both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to support customer and vendor interactions.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and recordkeeping.
  • Able to prioritize tasks effectively and perform well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and more with assistance.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, hear, dexterity with hands and must work at a fast pace.
  • Strong eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to sit at a computer and do data entry.
  • Walking and standing for long continuous hours and the ability to sit.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, etc., if required.
