Purpose of the role

The Capital Delivery Sourcing Professional supports the sourcing strategy for Capital Delivery within the Roofing and Asphalt business units. Key areas of responsibility include supplier management, cost reduction initiatives, and benchmarking—achieved through strategic negotiations and material substitution. This role is accountable for performance against defined sourcing metrics and collaborates with Commercial teams to maintain and diversify supply lines.

 

The position also manages cross-functional relationships across departments such as Legal, Engineering, and plant-level procurement teams, ensuring alignment and execution of sourcing objectives.

 

Key responsibilities

Execution Strategy Development

  • Design and implement capital-efficient sourcing strategies by aligning supplier capabilities with company growth initiatives and leveraging competitive intelligence.
  • Manage supplier onboarding and ongoing relationships, maintain inflation and savings forecasts using data-driven methods, and proactively allocate resources to mitigate short and long-term capital project risks.
  • Experience with capital projects involving engineering and construction and related execution strategies.

 

Business Planning

  • Develop, execute, and oversee long-term strategic sourcing and business plans that reflect corporate objectives, short-term cash flow and operational requirements, and the evolving supply, market, and business landscape.

 

Contract Management

  • Lead the full lifecycle management of engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services. Negotiate and administer complex contracts to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality solutions.

 

Supplier Development

  • Cultivate and expand multi-regional supplier relationships across the organization. Apply continuous improvement (CI) methodologies to drive year-over-year reductions in capital costs.

 

Key success metrics

  • Successful project execution in terms of safety, cost, and schedule
  • Year-over-year improvements in life-cycle costs and capital efficiency
  • Capital implementation cost per ton (or relevant metric)
  • Effective inflation/deflation management
  • Fixed cost optimization
  • Delivery of supplier-driven innovative solutions

 

Job Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related subject required
  • At least 5 years of work experience in supply chain, sourcing or business role
  • Engineering or construction contracts experience required
  • Strong international sourcing experience with complex, strategic, multi-year contracts in a multinational corporate environment

  • Agile and responsive to changing demands; consistently productive and effective across diverse settings
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on clarity and influence

  • Preferred experience in project management and capital project execution
  • Preferred experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Coupa, and Icertis

  • Willingness to travel up to 10-30%.
