PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Digital Manufacturing Leader – Strategy Development is responsible for development and design of the enterprise digital manufacturing strategy and associated roadmaps that will deliver digital solutions to support the business strategy of manufacturing operations at Owen’s Corning.
Working closely with manufacturing partners and the Digital Manufacturing Transformation team, this position will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and communicating the digital manufacturing strategy, including long range plan and short-term operational plan. This role will also be responsible for developing the strategic roadmap within the enterprise framework including digital core foundations, worker enablement, assets and process health and manufacturing intelligence. Working closely with other technology groups and manufacturing leaders across the enterprise, this role ensures continued alignment of digital manufacturing priorities for innovation & strategic planning with the evolving priorities of the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowing Our Businesses and their Strategies
- Build relationships within the organization, cross-functionally, and with key business stakeholders; continuously enhance connection to remain aligned with core objectives.
- Understand the strategic direction of the company’s businesses and develop technical strategies to enhance business results; lead conversations while aligning team objectives with those of the key business stakeholders.
- Know what best-in-class IT organizations do and obtain outside-in market insights to understand and then apply to positively impact Owens Corning.
Develop and Executing Strategy
- Build digital technology strategies to deliver on Industry 4.0 initiatives across the global manufacturing platform, focusing on core foundations, worker enablement, assets and process health and manufacturing intelligence to drive safety, productivity and positive employee experience
- Partners closely with key manufacturing stakeholders to build and maintain strategic roadmaps for innovation and deployment of digital manufacturing solutions
- Effectively influence and communicate Digital Manufacturing strategy with senior leadership
- Delivers and communicates short-term and long-term digital manufacturing strategic plans for the enterprise and for individual businesses
- Participate with the broader Global Infrastructure and Operations (GIO) organization to develop an ongoing strategy that will enhance the ways in which service and operations can improve business value and meet the needs of our users.
- Maintain a deep level of knowledge for digital manufacturing products, platforms, and services.
- Integrate mega-trends, external perspectives, and OC business insights into the digital manufacturing strategy

- Identify areas of waste; ideate and execute on aligned action plans to create productivity
- Participate in special programs or projects that support the long-term strategic goals of the organization
- Identify and lead opportunities to improve the effectiveness, value, and perception of the organization

- Assist in building the talent pipeline, mentoring, and developing members of the team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 10 years’ experience executing manufacturing systems and technology projects
- 5+ years’ experience with manufacturing systems innovation and solution development
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and inspire trust with multiple stakeholders to get results
- Demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter with a sense of curiosity and desire to continuously learn and grow
- Demonstrated leadership of matrixed, cross functional team across an organization
- Experience at creating and implementing strategies at a comprehensive and global level within a corporate environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knows industry trends, direction and standards that guide innovative technology offerings, and uses technology and market intelligence to provide strategic recommendations on initiatives to achieve business objectives.
