Overview

What you will do:

• Reads/interprets shipping schedules, stages doors, sorts by length, width, customer, core type to create correct stacks for shipping
• Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
• Fuel forklifts as required
• Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation
• Pay attention to detail when pulling items from Warehouse based on work order
• Assist with repairs in the Quality Department
• Assists with other repairs throughout the facility
• Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment
• Will also perform other related duties as assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the job description. This is a hybrid role in that the employee will be working in numerous departments.

What you will need:

• Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting
• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment
• Must read and write English
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Forklift knowledge and safety procedures 
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift to 50+ lbs.
