Sr Engineering Specialist

As an Senior Engineering Specialist in the field of Capital Delivery within EU Mineral Wool, you will play a pivotal role in manage & supporting project teams ensuring effective and reliable solutions of electrical and automation design and planning and other projects at Building Insulation (BI) and Technical Insulation (TI) production plants globally. To fulfill design and implementation of investments projects and support job in TI and Base Production’s plants mainly in Sweden. Resource for El Automation matters in the implementation of investments and other projects at Base Productions plants.

To show and implement the Owens Corning Project Management into organizations.

Reports to:                  Electric & Automation Department Manager

Within project organization to the project ordered and to the project steering group or the Project Leader / Manager.

Span of Control:          Within the line organization no subordinates. Important role in matrix function and therefore great influence to line organization. Within projects 2 – 6 project group members

Planning and design

Pre-planning, layouts, cost estimates

of electrical and automation system.

All according to valid directives, concept and El Automation standards

Project

Planning and execution

Cost follow-up and reporting

Design, function descriptions, start up, training and documentations.

Support

Technical and maintenance support to plants mainly in Sweden such as design, function descriptions, start up, training and documentations.

Technical and maintenance trouble shooting to plants mainly in Sweden.

Administrative            

Managing in the project organization.

• Preparation of a project plan
• Reporting in SAP
• Keeping meetings and making minutes.
• Distribution of information

Managing external resources.

Documentation

Reporting to Team Manager, within project to Project manager and also if needed to representative in TI and Base / Factory org.

Authority, quantitative information

An electric and automation project can be up to 0.2 M€.

Recent projects in which electricity and automation plays an important role have been up to 1-2 M€.

Key results             

The results of the job will be measured through annual target setting and bonus plan.

Projects are measured against objectives set in the project plans, budgets, time schedules and technical outcome. The results are followed by feedback from internal customers.

Business requirements

• Bachelor degree in engineering, Process / Machine Automation, or related field (bachelor’s degree minimum).
• Technical education according to high school engineering. or comparable knowledge to a similar level
• CAD Skills/ EPLAN
• Controller programming skill ABB or/and Siemens
• Experience of El Automation in Machinery process
• Ability to conduct self-management and resource planning
• Ability to lead and supervise consultants      
• In-depth knowledge of automation methodologies, tools, and software.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in industrial,
• IT skills (MS Office),
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• good co-operational and social skills,
