About The Program:

During the Spring term, you will be placed as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant for approximately 12 weeks. You will be mentored by seasoned technical specialists and provided value added projects throughout this period. Projects will give you hands-on experience with technical issues you'll experience in a production environment. The internship will cover the following topics: 

 

  • Safety leadership
  • Process and product improvement
  • Productivity increases
  • Waste elimination
  • Total Productive Maintenance

 

In addition, you will develop the following skills necessary to be an effective manufacturing leader:

 

 

At the conclusion of the co-op, participants may be offered an additional internship/co-op or full-time employment in one of Owens Corning's Operation Leadership Development Programs, following graduation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant STEM major and or field 
  • Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
  • Willingness and flexibility to relocate. Relcoation assistance provided.

 

 

LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT:

Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.
