PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reports to: Regional TPM Leader – East or West
Span of Control: The TPM Regional Leader provides TPM expertise and coaching across 3–4+ manufacturing sites in North America. The role supports assigned locations across the eight TPM pillars and helps mature local TPM and business systems to meet or exceed Roofing operational goals. This leader is accountable for deploying appropriate TPM methodologies, developing improvement programs, and monitoring and reporting progress. The TPM Regional Leader partners closely with Regional TPM Leaders, Plant Leaders, and functional leaders to drive loss elimination, build site capability, and strengthen daily management systems.
This role is accountable for driving TPM strategy, implementation, and results across assigned sites. The TPM Regional Leader partners with Plant Leaders and functional leadership to set direction, align priorities, and embed TPM into daily management systems—ensuring consistent execution and measurable business impact. The role also supports the development and coaching of TPM Coordinators and pillar leaders by building local capability and accountability, while tracking TPM maturity, loss elimination, and continuous improvement outcomes across all assigned facilities.
Location: Preferred to be located near an OC Roofing Facility and close to a large airport due to travel requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead for Safety Excellence
- Maintain focus on safety in all TPM efforts
- Use TPM methodologies to continue march to zero incidents
- Adhere to and continuously improve all safety policies, procedures, and standards
- Partner with the EHS Pillar to advance Safer Together initiatives
Support the Business TPM Network
Key Deliverables / Measures of Success
- Complete a Regional TPM join-up with each assigned site leader/NLT; align the coaching structure, visit expectations, and between-visit governance.
- Establish and maintain an aligned site TPM master plan (annual, monthly, weekly), including JIPM readiness milestones.
- Ensure the site KPI/KAI system is defined, tracked (linked to policy deployment/X-matrix), and reviewed monthly with gap action plans.
- Execute regular TPM assessments (site and pillar) and drive gap closure through pillar master plans.
- Demonstrate measurable loss elimination (Safety, Quality, Availability/Performance, Cost) through disciplined problem solving and reapplication.
- Lead or support sections of TPM academy and lead/teach TPM methodologies to support pillar development and growth
- Lead individual pillar training in the division and enterprise level as a coach
- Lead and coordinate training activities, including development of training materials aligned to the OC TPM process.
- Lead sites in the development and creation of TPM chapters and cases to meet JIPM assessment standards
- Work collaboratively across division and enterprise teams to improve and support pillar development and training materials (may include leading enterprise workstreams).
- Maintain flexibility on site locations and support duration to meet division and enterprise needs.
- Collaborate with assigned locations and division support on assessments of TPM and be able to explain the benefits of measuring progress
- Ability to balance division operational needs and site needs to support and develop TPM
- Leadership of regional support to develop skills in preparation of growth to the next level
- Train and coach assigned regional support resources, as applicable.
- Build support and shared accountability for successful deployment of TPM
- Implement process to assure effective best practice sharing and accelerate mutual progress
- Serve as mentor/coach to develop excellence in use of TPM methodologies and change leadership
- Lead, coach, and solicit input from team members to drive successful execution of regional and plant goals
- Facilitate / coordinate training, as needed
Deploy the TPM Strategy
- Lead and deploy the TPM strategy through major initiatives that embed a Zero Injury, Zero Defect, Zero Loss culture across assigned sites.
- Champion TPM execution and knowledge sharing to align site teams, leaders, and pillars around strategic priorities and expected outcomes.
- Support and drive disciplined problem solving by leading root cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
- Accelerate safety, quality, and performance improvements by actively leading rapid improvement efforts using TPM and continuous improvement methodologies.
Support Manufacturing Productivity
- Develop strategies and tactics to improve business results through development and execution of TPM efforts across the Roofing Operations network
- Monitor, audit and assess progress against the Roofing Operations strategy
- Develop and communicate clear and measurable performance expectations; participate in performance reviews
- Digital & Analytics Enablement
- Leverage enterprise dashboards and data systems to track TPM maturity, loss elimination progress, and maintenance execution (e.g., tags, schedule attainment, MTBF/MTTR, backlog).
- Standardize reporting routines and visuals to enable transparent, comparable performance reviews across sites.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent TPM experience, preferably within OC systems and Roofing processes
- TPM (JIPM) deployment and leadership experience, including leading sites to Excellence level and beyond
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment,
- Roofing / Components manufacturing experience a plus
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing experience
- TPM (JIPM) certification desirable
- TPM leadership across a multi-site network
- Influence leadership in a complex environment
