Program Description
Participants in the Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership Program take part in a structured development experience located at a manufacturing facility. The program duration is 24 months. During this time, participants receive experiential and formal training including:
- Learning from Incidences
- New Hire Safety Training
- Risk Assessments and Management
- Hazard Recognition Control
- Environmental Permit Compliance
- Total Productive Maintenance
- Injury Program Support
Program Outcome: Upon completion, participants will be placed in a full-time assignment as a EHS Leader or Specialist at a North American Owens Corning manufacturing plant.
What We’re Looking For: An enthusiastic candidate who takes initiative, drives results, and creatively navigates tasks. The ideal candidate demonstrates a desire to develop technical and leadership capabilities in a manufacturing environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in environmental health & Safety Management, Chemical engineering or an equivalent field
- Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to lead projects and development project plans
- Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
- Willingness and flexibility to relocate (assistance provided) during or upon completion of the program
LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENT:
Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.
