Summary: 

Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team that powers our production lines? As a Level 1 Packer, you’ll play a pivotal role in our packaging operations. Imagine procuring and placing bags on state-of-the-art equipment, handling scrap like a pro, and ensuring our products meet top-notch quality standards. Plus, you’ll be the unsung hero behind the scenes, keeping everything running smoothly. 

Starting Pay:  $23.89/hr  Rotating shifts & $1.25/hr shift differential paid on Night shift 

Type of Shift:  12 hour shift rotating every 2 weeks  2-2-3

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect, select, package, and label products according to specifications.
  • Load ware-trucks and racks manually or using assigned material handling equipment.
  • Set up, operate, and inspect semiautomatic and automatic packaging equipment (stretch wrappers, baggers, etc.).
  • Perform packaging operations (palletizing, closing bags, wrapping bundles).
  • Dispose of off-quality material and scrap.
  • Assist in reconditioning processes.
  • Locate and retrieve direct materials.
  • Collaborate with Level 2 Packers and Group Leaders.
  • Operate manual and power-operated material handling equipment.
  • Report equipment or quality issues promptly.
  • Be the superhero during downtimes and maintain meticulous records.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Forklift driver’s license preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be drug and alcohol free
