Pay:   The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 + benefits.  Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.   This information is specific to Kirkwood and may not be applicable to other locations.

Overview

Efficiently transport products and materials within the manufacturing facility using manual or forklift methods. Responsibilities include reading orders, organizing and stacking items, applying labels, and staging for loading, all while ensuring safe handling practices.

 

Responsibilities

•      Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and safety checks.

•      Operate forklifts safely to transport raw materials and finished goods.

•      Supply production areas with materials to maintain workflow.

•      Load, unload, lift, move, and stack materials following safety protocols.

•      Inspect doors for quality and perform minor repairs as needed.

•      Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

•      Collaborate with team members to support manufacturing processes.

•      Work overtime, extended hours, and weekends as required.

•      Lift and handle materials up to 50+ lbs. in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment

• Solid verbal and written communication skills

• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

• Strong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door components

• Efficient with multiple machines and equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square

• Required to stand for long periods of time

• May involve some repetitive motions: bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

• Read and understand bill of materials

• Ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold

• Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job

• Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 Years of Forklift experience
