Overview

The Customer Associate manages the order process: from taking the order to delivery of the order. This includes, but not limited to: updates to customers with accurate information on their order; follow ups and/or investigation of customer requests .This roles  fosters customer relations by utilizing proper communication skills to strengthen business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Completes the order entry process with high degree of accuracy  
  • Works closely with customer’s corporate offices to assist in customer and sales representative communication and complaint resolution
  • Answers technical questions about our product as well as providing part numbers and prices for replacement parts
  • Researches any delivery and/or invoicing issues discrepancies
  • Composes and types correspondence to customers
  • Provides confirmations via WoodWare and/or working with customers when there is a problem with an order due to product availability
  • Files all customer related documents
  • Creates custom door pricing quotes in a timely manner
  • Organizes customer related documents
  • Follows all Company related safety/environmental rules and regulations

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent phone and written communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office tools or Master-Pak software
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
  • Ability to establish and continually develop relationships with the customer and other functions within the organization
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multi-task
  • Product Knowledge as it relates to the Door industry
  • Telephone Etiquette
  • Patience

Qualifications

  • High School Education required, Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service or manufacturing is strongly preferred
