Overview
Verify and maintain records on outgoing shipments of doors. Duties include verifying and arranging for the transportation of doors to internal or external clients.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Examine shipment contents and compare them with records, such as manifests, invoices or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Estimate freight and record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting or recordkeeping purposes.
- Negotiate and arrange transport of goods with shipping or freight companies.
- Determine method of shipment and prepare labels, bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents for all outgoing shipments including creating cross-border paperwork in MasterPak. Also label doors to be shipped.
- Work with outgoing courier shipments.
- Track delivery progress of shipments.
- Maintain records of all items shipped.
- Advise clients on transportation and payment methods.
- Receive and respond to customer complaints.
- Provide Proof of Delivery for customer service and sales teams.
- Route schedule and LTL upload in TMS.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of door types preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Must have good attendance and safety records.
- Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities and communication skills.
- Must have good organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
- Prior experience with MasterPak and TMS, preferred.
