About the position

FOAMGLAS®, manufactures and provides insulation materials which help consumers and industry reduce their energy consumption. Here at Owens Corning we are fully engaged in reducing our CO2 emission by a series of ongoing investments.

 

We are looking for a Sr. Sales professional who possess an advanced understanding of our customer's needs in order to create and execute plans to create differential value with each customer. As a sales professional for our FOAMGLAS® brand, you provide technical solutions towards our customers via consultative selling which will ultimately results in Foamglas being specified and purchased as a high performance insulation solution via our Insulation Distributors or Builders Merchants network.

 

What does success look like?

  • You take ownership of all sales activities related to the small and medium customer segment and distributor inquiries, including assisting architects and engineers with specification opportunities
  • You actively pursue growth in this segment by follow-up on on lead efforts and growing your sales pipeline
  • You provide technical calculations and other related documentation, manage incoming inquiries and dispatch them towards them to the most approrate sales channel or technical team.
  • You work as part of a team for pipeline growth and sales success.

  • Show a strong business growth mindset. You understand the customer needs and are able to translate these into customer focused technical and commercial proposals.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset to drive an increasing sales pipeline and sales success.
  • You conduct yourself with the highest ethical and moral business standards.

 

Business requirements

  • Qualificatoins in technical subject(s) to A level or further education equivalent.
  • Maths & English GCSE minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
  • Be able use MS Office applications.
  • Be able to understand and interpret design/archietctural drawings and written specifications.  
  • Experience in a technical sales role, ideally of a construction related product or system.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Location: This role is in the London area with frequent attendance at our London EC1 office.
