Purpose of the Job
The Process & Quality Engineer provides technical leadership to ensure safe, stable, and capable manufacturing processes that consistently deliver products meeting customer requirements. This role drives improvements in safety, quality, cost, and productivity through application of continuous improvement principles, TPM methodology, and data-driven decision making. The role also leads plant sustainability initiatives and digital transformation efforts, enabling long-term value creation through responsible resource management and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Span of Control: All manufacturing processes and products of assigned plant or process area
Job Responsibilities
Safety, Environmental & Sustainability Leadership
- Demonstrates and reinforces the OC Safety Stand and ensures an injury-free work environment
- Ensures compliance with environmental and regulatory standards and drives zero non-conformities
- Owns sustainability performance including energy, waste, and emissions reduction
Technical Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Understand current manufacturing process capability, drives to reduce variation through Statistical Process Control (SPC), and ensures product quality and consistency to improve the overall customer experience
- Drive Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for quality claims, hold tags, and EOL defect scrap to identify and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
- Ensures nonconforming products are contained and not shipped to customers
- Develop and manage quality, machine efficiency and cost improvement project pipeline.
- Continuously improve Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) and manufacturing productivity through process technology (density, piece job, spinner, and operating efficiency, direct materials, energy, transportation, and labor)
- Drive FI & QM Pillar implementation and progression
- Maintains process standards and leverages knowledge for rapid deployment of best practices
- Act as primary plant contact with the Product & Process Innovation Teams
- Participate in the charter, scope development and execution of capital projects, including rebuilds, to ensure safety, performance, schedule and cost goals of the projects are met or exceeded
Knowing Our Customer
- Understand and communicate customer expectations to employees through effective use of standard work, reporting and team communication
- Ensure process standards are defined and in place to reliably meet manufacturing specification requirements as well as cost and schedule expectations
- Facilitate a culture to maintain, improve and/or develop effective customer relationships
Digital Transformation & Data Leadership
- Leads digital transformation initiatives using data systems and analytics
- Builds a data-driven culture for performance visibility and decision-making
- Partners cross-functionally to deploy smart manufacturing tools to shop floor
Talent Development
- Create and sustain a culture where Manufacturing Engineer talent is developed through effective technical training and provide appropriate feedback on individual performance and talent evaluation
- Act as Development Coach, when appropriate, for early career development participants, creating the appropriate developmental experience and assuring the program outcome is achieved
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Three years of technical experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
- Proven results in driving product and process improvement in the manufacturing environment through application of continuous improvement principles and methods, including but not limited to TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma.

- Utilizing data systems coupled with appropriate problem solving and statistical methods to eliminate manufacturing losses and unnecessary costs
- Quick to learn new digital tools and train others as the SME
- Proficient in Power BI data source mapping and report generation
