Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor leads and drives a consistent message about Masonite quality with an emphasis on defining and implementing a quality inspection, auditing, and driving the definition of a site quality metrics, reporting and operating mechanisms.

 

  • Ensures product delivered to our customers meets Masonite quality standards.
  • Performs in-process audits to verify process set-up and compliance.
  • Provides clear visual quality standards for each operation.
  • Develops and monitors key quality metrics. Analyzes results to highlight areas for opportunities to improve.
  • Drives the corrective action process.
  • Participates in the development and release of SOP’s and ensures proper revision control.
  • Takes a lead role in process development and improvement with a focus on productivity.
  • Educates production and warehouse staff on fundamentals of quality assurance.
  • Manages staff of inspectors and outside service personnel

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree plus 3 years practical experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.  
  • Supervisor experience in a manufacturing or production facility.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct Quality Assurance experience preferred. 
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Auditor/Engineer certification from ASQ highly desired or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification highly desired.
  • Proven leadership skills (experience successfully managing people/projects/processes/issues).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop effective teams.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly set goals, communicate issues with production personnel, sales staff, and management.
  • Competent with MS Office programs including MS-Excel, MS Word, and MS Power-Point, MS Access
  • Basic quality system knowledge (Document Controls, process audits, SPC)
  • Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm.
