Hourly Rate: $22.66, plus shift differential only for overnight shift.
Shift: 12-hour Rotating 7:00 pm - 7:00 am OR 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Machine Operator
The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
Responsibilities:
- Set up machines (tooling, RPMs, materials) to start the production cycle.
- Verifies all temperatures and materials are readily available.
- Ensures the machines are constantly running smoothly and efficiently.
- Checks output to identify any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Monitor the quality of the product several times.
- Must be able to use measuring tools such as tape and dial calipers.
- Maintain clean rolls and dies.
- Problem solves an issue that may occur throughout the shift.
- Maintain records of approved and deficiency scrap, including final product.
- Maintain activity logs: QC report, production, and dirt tracks.
- Ensure that product complies with all requirements (width, length, squareness, thickness, color & surface finish) before stacking.
- Oversee the performance of Stackers and Operator Assistant.
- Must maintain a clean working area around each line and assist coworkers with housekeeping.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing experience.
- Understanding of production procedures.
- Reliable and able to work with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
- Must be able to perform repetitive and continuous work.
- Must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate.
- Indoor facility that is not air-conditioned or heated.
- Inside line work around loud equipment/machinery.
Physical Demands:
- Able to stand all day and lift up to 50 pounds, including a significant amount of bending, lifting, moving, and standing.
- Must climb, ascend or descend ladders and/or stairs.
- Able to reach above the shoulders.
- Able to grasp, pinch with fingers and thumbs.
