PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Finance Analyst provides Financial, HR, and Administrative support to the manufacturing facility. The Finance Analyst partners with the plant leadership team by contributing to financial reporting, analysis, employee support, HR administration, and plant management processes. This individual will be responsible for supporting processes in key areas of accountability, helping ensure the environment complies with the Company’s internal control policies and Sarbanes Oxley, and supporting non-financial plant administrative processes.
Reports to: This position reports directly to the plant leader with strong reporting accountability for driving results to the segment financial leader.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare, analyze and communicate financial results, forecasts and budgets for plant and functional leadership.
- Develop variance analysis, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to support cost control and business performance.
- Maintain accurate financial models, dashboards and recurring reports to improve visibility to key performance metrics.
- Partner with finance and operations teams to support month-end close, accruals, inventory valuation and expense tracking.
Financial Controls and Compliance
- Support internal control processes, documentation and compliance activities in alignment with company policies and applicable requirements.
- Review transactions, purchase activity and expense reporting for accuracy, completeness and policy compliance.
- Assist with audit preparation, data requests and corrective action follow-up as needed.
- Ensures delegation and successful completion of site security functions, such as; managing/implementing OC security standards, quarterly assessments of security equipment, & security capital project management.
HR Administration and Employee Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to HR processes, policies, timekeeping, benefits and general employment matters.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files and HR system data while protecting confidentiality.
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, training documentation and required employee communications.
- Support attendance tracking, benefit enrollment, leave administration, and employee status changes in partnership with HR leadership.
Recruiting, Workforce Planning and Talent Processes
- Assist with workforce planning by analyzing staffing needs, headcount trends, overtime, turnover and labor cost impacts.
- Coordinate recruiting activities, interview scheduling, candidate communication and pre-employment process support.
- Support performance management, training plans, employee engagement activities and talent review processes.
Cross-functional Partnership and Continuous Improvement
- Partner with plant leadership, finance, HR, operations and shared services teams to support business priorities and employee needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial and HR processes, reporting accuracy, employee experience and administrative efficiency.
- Communicate information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Finance, accounting or relevant discipline required
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations finance.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- SAP and Power BI working experience and knowledge
- Leading operations planning, savings, forecasting and investment analysis
- Operating in a range of economics conditions, i.e. expansion, contraction, stable economic conditions – forecasting, scenario planning, risk analysis and contingency development
- Delivering continuous improvement
- Attracting, developing and retaining outstanding talent – growing talent and succession planning
- Demonstrated high growth in previous experience
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred not required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate with and engage employees at all levels of the organization while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability and knowledge of corporate finance, manufacturing costing principles, P&L dynamics and balance sheet impacts.
- Working knowledge of HR processes, employee records, onboarding, offboarding, timekeeping, attendance tracking, leave administration and benefits support.
- Ability to support recruiting activities, interview coordination, candidate communication and pre-employment process requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, explain policies and communicate financial and HR information in clear, practical terms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and control costs, develop business cases and support leaders in taking appropriate action.
- Ability to analyze workforce data, staffing trends, overtime, turnover and labor costs to support business and people decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial, employee and compliance records.
