We are looking for a Process Technology Manager in our European Mineral Wool Center of Excellence team. As a PTM of electric furnace you are accountable for developing and maintaining of existing electric furnace technology. This requires optimization of existing lines and leading new investments from technology perspective. You will play a pivotal role in driving defect elimination by working with the plants to provide clarity on root causes of defects, proactively developing innovative production solutions, which allows better productivity and improved product quality. Owens Corning’s key asset in Mineral Wool business is our own manufacturing process which is state-of-the-art. PTM is a key stakeholder in maintaining this competitive edge.

Business requirements
- Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline or related field
- High knowhow of Electric furnaces
- Background in industry using Electric melting
- Have an understanding of various processes and systems
- Understanding of Six Sigma concepts including statistics, trial design, data analysis and control charting
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, systematic and organized work style
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, other European language will be concidered as an advantage.
- Familiarity with databases and control systems, excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel to other locations, even up to 75% of the time.
- Understanding of TPM concept will be beneficial
