Overview:
- Mechanical Maintenance performs major mechanical repairs and fabricating of new equipment with minimal supervision to ensure proper performance and safety of equipment.
- Complete Preventative Maintenance programs and train others.
- Follow manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, drawings and diagrams to troubleshoot malfunctions and monitor compliance of equipment.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, determine wear on parts by using calipers, micrometers, and measuring devices.
- Follow LOTO procedures.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Welder
- Pipe Fitting
- Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
- Cutting (Torch and Plasma Cutter)
- Carpentry
- Mechanic
- Understanding of Blue Prints
- Must have a working knowledge of – fire protection, individual pieces of equipment, air compressors, vacuum systems, and pneumatic systems, ion measuring equipment.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and work a 10 hour shift.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
- Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
- Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold
- Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
- Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required
- 1-2 Years in the field or related area
