Warehouse Technician

SUMMARY
The Warehouse Technician position is an hourly position who reports to the Plant Controller. The employee is responsible for handling all raw materials coming into the facility and all finished product for storage or transport out of the facility. The employee also is responsible for managing raw material, finished product, and scrap inventory levels.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Unload raw materials entering the facility
- Store finished product in the warehouse
- Load outbound finished product onto trucks for shipment
- Manage all inventories in plant
- Coordinate with inbound and outbound drivers
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The employee should hold the following abilities:
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task
- Must have strong forklift driving skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations
- Must be able to read instruments and accurately record readings
- Must have basic computer skills
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES
The employee must be able to:
- Operate a computer or other keyboard instrument
- Operate a warehouse management material tracking system and its software
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Possess valid forklift drivers certification
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
- Sit for extended periods of time
- Repeatedly enter and exit a forklift
- Work in high and low temperatures
- Work in wet conditions
- Lift up to 50 pounds
