PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As the TPM Leader for Rockford, responsibilities include supporting the TPM Strategy and execution of the sites master plan. This position will work enable the advancement of TPM methodology at the site in the pursuit of zero loss. The position will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the Site TPM Masterplan, training/teaching the TPM methodology, coaching teams to drive loss elimination through the implementation of the TPM pillars and assessing the progress. This position will work closely with the Regional TPM Leader, Regional Pillar Leaders, Plant NLT, and the Plant Team Members.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading safety, environmental and security for an injury free and compliant workplace
- Maintain focus on safety in all TPM initiatives
- Use TPM methodologies to continue the journey to zero incidents
- Adhere to and continuously improve all safety policies, procedures, and standards
- Leads with a safety first mentality, embodying the OC’s Safety Brand “Safer Together” All accidents are preventable, safety is everyone’s responsibility, working safely is condition of employment
- Ensures a safe, clean, and environmentally compliant work environment for all employees and visitors
- Ensures all control plans, work instructions, and other procedures related to technical operations of the production lines ensure the safety of employees in accordance with Owens Corning standards
Inspires and enables the plant leadership team to successfully drive to zero losses through the deployment of a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) operating system
- Identify, track, and communicate the metrics that measure TPM progress
- Serve as mentor/coach to develop excellence in the use of TPM methodologies
- Build support and shared accountability for successful deployment of TPM plant wide
- Provide recognition for successes around sustained TPM systems and TPM capabilities built
- Member of the plant’s leadership team; responsible for pillar leader coaching and development
- Engage and inspire teams at all levels and across functions to achieve results through TPM Pillars
- Leverage strategic leadership with the Plant NLT to drive TPM masterplan development and completion
- Develop and deliver training as needed to build TPM knowledge, awareness, and capability across the plant Leads the weekly TPM drumbeat in the Plant, providing daily coaching and GEMBA with plant team members
- Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to effectively coach and mentor on TPM methodologies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree and 4+ years of TPM/Lean experience
- Experience with 5S and TPM deployment of AM, PM, FI and T&D Pillars
- Demonstrated ability to improve business results and deliver results by working through others.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- TPM (JIPM) certification
- CI concepts and root cause analysis process management
- Proven track record of successful TPM implementation in a manufacturing plant
- Major programs deployment:
- Pillar Leader experience in AM, PM, FI
- Led an AM Team through AM Step 3
- Led a Daily Management Huddle
- Project Leader, Project Manager
