JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participates in the safety, quality, autonomous maintenance, TPM and housekeeping programs as established within the plant; this includes but is not limited to Focused Improvement Events, Safety Committee meetings, 5S projects, etc.
- Performs job tasks to reduce environmental impact and adheres to the environmental regulations and recycling procedures for waste disposal.
- Communicates safety concerns and/or equipment problems/abnormalities to appropriate personnel
- Follows proper reporting procedures for all injuries, near misses or first aid.
- Operates a desktop PC, laptop or tablet.
- Uses computer and software literacy in: communicating via email, creating and maintaining simple spreadsheets, using the Microsoft Office Suite and is willing to learn and utilize internal OC production systems such as AspenTech, POP.
- Works to achieve daily productivity goals related to the manufacturing line.
- Knows the requirements, responsibilities and tasks associated with all jobs on the production floor.
- Supports operators on equipment functionality and troubleshooting
- Coordinates and plans department scheduling of down day work. Secures all tools and equipment needed for down day work
- Supports daily production data entry, ensuring accuracy
- Coordinates with Operations Leader and Shift Leaders on training of all employees, including normal reviews, skills assessments and other training needs.
- Thinks under pressure, makes quick decisions and acts as a decision maker in the absence of the Front Line Leader.
- Demonstrates flexibility to changing priorities as business needs dictate.
- Understands the needs of the customer and takes action to address those needs.
- Identifies and participates proactively in learning opportunities and develops expertise in those areas.
- Ensures standard operating procedures and processes are in place.
- Acts as the Leader on Duty (LOD) in the absence of a Production Supervisor (FLL) or Ops Leader
- Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of this position, as directed by the area leader.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, PERFORMANCE AND EXPERIENCE
- 1 year of tenure at OC Savannah Roofing is required to be considered
- Two or more year of manufacturing experience (OC or elsewhere) is strongly preferred
- Must not have a written warning or higher on file in the last calendar 6 months
- Past and current attendance records will be reviewed. A good and reliable attendance record will be a factor in choosing the right person for this role.
- A demonstrated ability to lead and influence people in a positive manner is required.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a HS degree/diploma, GED or equivalent educational history
- Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US
- Must remain drug and alcohol free on the worksite and expect the same of others

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to routinely lift up to 80 lbs. with assistance
- Work for 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment
- Walk/stand continuously for up to 12 hours
- Ability to safely bend, twist, and squat
- Routinely ascend and descend stairs and ladders as work area requires
- Adapt to rotating shift work, including nights, Holidays and weekends
- Pass pre-employment drug screenings, random drug screenings, a background check, and health screening
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED TRAINING
- All annual safety and role specific training, as required by the nature of this position
- Initial TPM autonomous steps 0-1 and additional training as site progresses
