5:00AM – 3:30PM Monday-Thursday; OT as needed
Pay: The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.65 + benefits. This information is specific to Stokesdale, NC and may not be applicable to other locations.
What your day in this role might involve at OC Stokesdale:
The primary purpose of this position is to safely produce blanks for the Frame Saver product line.
- Prep Composite for machine on rip saw
- Observe safety rules and guidelines
- Keep up with the machine at a reasonable pace at every position within the cell/work center while maintaining quality standards set by (QIP) Quality Inspection Plan
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the products produced within your area and affected work centers.
- Must gain the knowledge to assist in changeovers and aid the operator during changeovers.
- Must gain knowledge and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot minor problems to be able to reset machine in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate the Chop saw safely and efficiently, this includes being authorized to Lock Out and Tag the machine out.
- Demonstrate the ability to mix glue and catalyst correctly.
- Ability to follow proper procedure in the maintenance and cleaning of the glue pot and glue system.

Must haves include…
- Completion of 12th grade and be at least 18 Years Old
- Wear PPE
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Make sure no doors, aisles, electrical panels, or fire extinguishers are being blocked with materials
- Good attendance
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Able to read a tape measure and caliper
- Able to coordinate work with material handlers and any other people your work may affect
- Report material deficiencies or machine problems immediately
- Good hand-eye coordination and be mechanically adaptable
There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:
- Understand 5S practices and apply accordingly including end of shift clean up and machine down time
- Perform and sustain all the functions and requirements of this position, including Safety, Quality, Productivity, Attendance and 5S practices
- Lift 35lbs
- Stand for 10 hours straight
- Do repetitive movements (hand, wrist, and arm motions)
- Able to walk, bend, twist, stoop, and climb stairs
- Withstand heat in excess of 95 degrees and noise levels that may be uncomfortable
- Be exposed to wood dust and aluminum with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent.
