The Sr. TPM Specialist is responsible for the ownership, deployment, and advancement of the site TPM operating system, supporting the plant in achieving zero loss (Zero Injury, Zero Defect, Zero Breakdown, Zero Waste).

 

This role enables TPM as the way the plant operates by combining system ownership, capability building, and cross-functional influence, while partnering closely with the Plant Leadership Team (NLT), Regional TPM Leaders, and pillar teams.

 

The Sr. TPM Specialist leads and sustains the TPM Masterplan, governance, and routines while driving loss elimination through structured problem solving and data-driven insights. This role also builds plant capability through coaching, facilitation, and training, and influences decisions across Operations, Maintenance, and Leadership to advance TPM maturity.

 

Reports to: Plant Leader with dotted-line functional reporting to the Division TPM Leader Network

 

Span of Control: No direct reports; member of the Plant Leadership Team (NLT)

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Safety, Environmental, & Compliance Leadership
  • Lead with a safetyfirst mindset aligned with OC’s “Safer Together” standards
  • Ensure TPM initiatives reinforce safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible operations
  • Integrate safety, risk identification, and prevention into all TPM systems and routines
  • Support application of tools such as risk assessments, behavioral safety practices, and loss prevention methods
  1. TPM System Ownership, Governance, & Maturity Progression
  • Own the TPM operating system, including:
    • Site TPM master plan
    • TPM governance structure and routines
    • KPIs, KAIs, and performance tracking
  • Lead the weekly TPM drumbeat and support daily management routines
  • Drive standardization, sustainability, and maturity progression across TPM Pillars
  • Support development and execution of:
    • Leadership Standard Work
    • Policy Deployment
  • Identify and remove barriers to TPM implementation and sustainment
  1. Loss Analysis, Problem Solving, & Business Insight
  • Lead and facilitate loss analysis using TPM methodologies (loss trees, PM analysis, etc.)
  • Support prioritization of improvement opportunities aligned to plant business goals
  • Apply and coach teams on appropriate problem-solving methodologies (FI Matrix, Lean tools, structured RCA)
  • Support or develop cost deployment models to connect losses to financial impact
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to Plant Leadership
  1. CrossFunctional Leadership & Influence
  • Influence outcomes across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Leadership without direct authority
  • Build shared accountability for TPM results across functions
  • Act as a change leader to shift mindset from task execution to problem ownership
  • Partner with Regional TPM Leader(s) and pillar teams to align on standards and expectations
  1. TPM Capability Building, Coaching, & Facilitation
  • Develop and deliver TPM training to build plantwide capability and understanding
  • Strengthen problemsolving capability and continuous improvement behaviors across the plant
  • Coach and develop Pillar leaders, Frontline teams, and Plant Leadership
  • Lead and facilitate:
    • TPM bootcamps & Training sessions
    • Pillar team development
    • TPM assessments and gap closure planning
  • Provide recognition and reinforcement of TPM successes and capability growth
  1. TPM Pillar Support & Integration
  • Support deployment and advancement across TPM pillars, including:
    • Autonomous Maintenance (AM)
    • Planned Maintenance (PM)
    • Focused Improvement (FI)
    • Training & Development (T&D)
  • Coach teams on pillar plan development and execution, pillar routines and governance, standard work and visual management.
  • Develop and grow pillar depth over time, progressing toward higher-level application and facilitation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of TPM / Lean manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of TPM systems beyond administrative support
  • Demonstrated success in TPM or Lean systems deployment and acceleration of TPM/Lean Systems maturity
  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to influence others to drive change and achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operation facility that may require flexible hours and travel as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Engineering or related field preferred
  • TPM (JIPM) certification or formal TPM Training
  • Experience facilitating training, workshops, or improvement events
  • Experience in a leadership-facing role
