PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Join our team as Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, where you'll provide crucial quantitative and qualitative analysis to the leadership of our European Sourcing & Supply Chain organization. Through outstanding business partnering capabilities and analysis your insights will drive strategic and operational plans, monthly forecasts, and efficient financial metrics reporting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations planning and forecasting

  • Lead financial planning and forecasting for Opex, SG&A, Capital, and Net Inflation.
  • Act as the liaison between Europe’s Sourcing and Manufacturing Finance teams.
  • Share inflation and productivity guidance with plant controllers.
  • Support improvement initiatives.

Reporting and analytics

  • Execute monthly closing processes and produce actionable management reports.
  • Provide insights on variances and propose actions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Evaluate financial implications of business decisions and advise management.

Continuous improvement

  • Analyze current processes and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to enhance inflation forecasting tools.
  • Conduct data integrity audits and establish SOPs for FP&A activities.

Cross-functional leadership and team contribution

  • Lives and promotes the Safer together stand, the values of OC and works in alignment with Inclusion & Diversity.
  • Share best practices across functional areas and business units.
  • Teach financial acumen and modeling to non-financial personnel.

Financial and operational controls 

  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Support benchmark metrics creation and manage supplier profiles.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Finance or Accounting is required.  

Experience:

  • 5+ years of finance and analytical acumen with demonstrated rate of growth and success in prior roles
  • Progressive financial analysis experience in a manufacturing/corporate environment
  • Demonstrated process focused and a structured work style
  • Experience of functioning within an international matrix structure across functional, business, geographic and cultural boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements
  • Experience with SAP and Business Objects or similar systems

Knowledge, skills, abilities:

  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles – understands P&L balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics
  • Outstanding business partnering and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, impact and communicate in simple, impactful terms
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and control costs – effectively develops business cases and enrolls leaders at all levels in taking appropriate action
  • Energetic and resourceful, with strong positive can-do attitude. 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, where new subject matter is learned and quickly put into practice
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate risks and opportunities and propose and execute practical solutions
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word) skills, inclusive of Power BI
  • Ability to develop strong business partnerships/teambuilding relationships across regional and global functions
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously and prioritize workload appropriately
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and a changing business environment
