Purpose of the Job
The Enterprise Change Management Leader is accountable for leading the enterprise change management strategy which swiftly enables the implementation of Owens Corning’s Business Process Transformation which encompasses global optimization of organizational design, processes, tools and data. This leader will partner with transformation peers and business & functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive and manage change to ensure successful adoption and implementation of new processes, technologies, and strategies. This role is critical in ensuring that change initiatives meet objectives on time and within budget by increasing employee adoption and usage.
An ideal candidate will couple strategic thinking and proven methodologies with influential leadership skills to guide and support teams through change.
Reports to: Vice President, Transformation
Span of Control: No direct reports initially; potential to add people leadership accountability as the Transformation initiative progresses
Job Responsibilities
Enable Business Process Transformation Through Change Management
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance.
- Lead change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and support.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders in the change management process.
- Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan.
- Collaborate with the businesses, HR, GIS, and other functions to ensure alignment of change initiatives from manufacturing floor to executive level.
- Support project teams in integrating change management activities into project plans to ensure transformation initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
- Define and measure success metrics, monitor change progress, and provide status updates to senior enterprise leaders. Document, manage and resolve complex change issues and risks.
- Develop training programs and capabilities to ensure understanding and necessary adoption of employees.
- Develop a tool kit of change management processes and tools to build a sustainable change management capability across the enterprise.
Drive Cultural Transformation Through Enterprise Leadership
- Foster a culture of innovation, strategic evaluation and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Develop and communicate the vision for change management efforts ensuring the impact is clear to key stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment across departments to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and accelerate execution of transformational initiatives.
- Lead communication of strategic plans and progress to stakeholders.
- Initiate and maintain a Change Management community of practice which embeds change management champions within OC enterprise functions.
- Provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their teams through transitions.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, industrial psychology or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in change management, organizational development, or related roles.
- Certification in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is highly desirable.
- Experience with large-scale organizational change initiatives
- Progressive leadership experience across a global matrixed environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Project management experience that drives impact, strong results and leads change.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build connection with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and influential leadership skills at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated collaborative leadership style.
- Proven track record of identifying and overcoming challenges.
