Data Science Lead

Owens Corning Corporate Services, LLC, seeks a Data Science Lead in Toledo, OH to analyze business process performance to identify root causes for efficiency gaps, revenue, price leakage and other key metrics impacted. Validate mathematical modeling results with design of experiments or empirical data in business processes, pilot studies or lab experiments. Work in a team environment to advance understanding of the business process and elevate performance, completed by working with both internal resources and external partners. Possess deep and broad knowledge in the application of advanced analytical techniques to solve business problems. Communicate from factory floor to business leaders, see options uniquely across all businesses, and have the ability to interface and collaborate in a business sensitive manner that is flexible and unbiased. Apply advanced analytics to provide insights by solving selected business problems. Develop generative AI solutions to meet business objectives. Deliver insights that drive actions to improve business performance, productivity and continuous improvements through the application of advanced analytics techniques and tools.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics or a related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: applying advanced analytics techniques including data mining, descriptive statistics, and visualization to solve complex business problems; utilize contemporary AI and analytical technology, software platforms, and methodologies with the ability to apply it to business processes; apply statistical techniques including machine learning and AI to solve business problems; utilize experience in the effective utilization of visualization techniques to explore data to find root causes as well as presentation of results; utilize optimization techniques including linear programming, integer programming, non-linear programming and dynamic programming. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
