JOB DESCRIPTION

Owens Corning’s Digital Manufacturing Transformation (DMT) organization is delivering digital solutions that will drive value for each of our Businesses. The Digital Manufacturing Delivery Lead is a key role within that organization that will deliver strategic objectives to digitally transform our manufacturing facilities. This role will deploy enterprise standard solutions at scale across our manufacturing facilities. This role will develop strong partnerships with key business leaders, architects, and functional leads the effective delivery of digital solutions. This role will be accountable for the change management of how digital systems and technology can transform the way our operations achieve their desired goals.

 

The nature of this role requires flexibility. The demands of Digital Manufacturing are constantly changing to meet the needs of the business. The person in this role should have strong leadership characteristics to lead in an exciting environment that is always evolving and improving.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Executing Strategy

Lead the deployment of Digital Manufacturing Technology

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and teams to collect requirements, define well-formed acceptance criteria, develop the corresponding manufacturing technology solutions roadmap
  • Assist in building business cases for proposed solutions and features that demonstrate financial value
  • Lead and deliver new technology projects from proof of concept (POC) through scale, driving the expansion of digital manufacturing systems and tools across our operations.
  • Oversee project budgets, risks, resource utilization, transition and closure processes, and stakeholder communications, ensuring smooth support handoff and regular status reporting with success metrics.
  • Collaborate with business, Capital Delivery, and Global Information Services (GIS) teams to leverage standard solutions, align on delivery, and ensure visibility and successful outcomes.
  • Set strategy to execute projects, programs, and deployments that are prioritized in the Digital Manufacturing Transformation portfolio.
  • Manage and lead change across impacted organizations and ensure delivered solutions are fully adopted and leveraged.
  • Define and execute the Enterprise Rationalization phases of new solutions before deployed at scale
  • Accountable for optimization and projects of key systems and tools
  • Maintain transparency to project status, current focus areas, and success metrics for active projects to ensure momentum and focus
  • Provide input to the project portfolio and participate in the sequencing and scheduling of large initiatives to best fit our resource capabilities
  • As needed, partnering with relevant OC functions (i.e. Legal, IT Security) to adhere to global IT requirements through the program and projects
  • Partnering with global colleagues to share best practices and consistency of results

 

 

Establish strong connections with Business and GIS resources

  • Leverage business partnerships to prioritize workstreams within the Digital Manufacturing Transformation portfolio
  • As a member of the Digital Manufacturing Transformation team, partner closely with your teammates and platform owners to deliver successful results for our business partners
  • Participate in all Digital Manufacturing Transformation and GIS team meetings and follow standard processes
  • Work closely with the Digital Manufacturing and Manufacturing Operations Technology (OT) teams to ensure full visibility and alignment to similar workstreams happening in other parts of the organization
  • Partnership with technical integration and security teams; leverage external expertise to build out sustainable solutions. GIS Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Project Review Board (PRB) for awareness and approval of architected solutions. Leverage existing standards and governance when required.

 

Maximize the value delivered by our key partners, provide strong and efficient vendor relationship capabilities

  • Establishing a strong relationship with our key partners towards the achievement of defined deliverables, SLAs, and KPIs – implement corrective action where needed related to project work orders
  • Building strong relationships with product and implementation providers to drive execution and continuous improvement within the program and projects
  • Partnering with platform owners to ensure full software and maintenance compliance

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in a technology environment
  • 5+ years’ experience interacting at multiple levels of an organization with a specific focus on delivering great services
  • 3+ years of experience in Program Leadership focusing on the following:
    • Utilizing program and project methodology and techniques
    • Managing and leading global projects with global resource allocation
    • Project and portfolio management practices and tools

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in manufacturing operations
  • Experience collaborating in a diverse cultures’ environment and across international boundaries

  • Organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and proven ability to execute and deliver results
  • Able to travel domestically and/or internationally and estimated 20%
