PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The FP&A Director partners with Business Finance, Operations, Commercial and Marketing Leaders to deliver a comprehensive, forward‑looking view of financial performance, forecasts, long‑range plans, and operating plans. This leader plays a critical role in shaping and communicating the Insulation financial story for quarterly earnings, Board of Directors and Executive Committee discussions. This role serves as a key liaison between the Insulation business, Corporate FP&A, External Reporting, and Investor Relations teams. The ideal candidate leads with an enterprise mindset, is highly collaborative and curious and brings a point of view to deliver strong financial results, advance process efficiency and develop high performing teams.

Span of Control: Team of 4-5 Finance Professionals
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Planning and Forecasting
Lead the annual operations and strategic planning processes for the business ensuring alignment with enterprise and business strategic objectives.
Drive the global business forecasting process ensuring coordination, alignment and efficiency.
Apply strong business and market perspective to anticipate trends, inform decision‑making, and deliver insights that support growth and competitive advantage
Ensure effective reporting and insight into operating expenses as well as working capital and cash.
Reporting and Analysis
Own and communicate the Insulation financial narrative, delivering clear and impactful insights to senior leaders
Anticipate discussion topics for upcoming senior leadership meetings and proactively build and refine the story in partnership with Finance leadership.
Provide executive level analysis on variance to plan and forecast including scenario modeling, risk analysis and contingency planning
Ensure effective monthly close oversight in partnership with Accounting teams, maintaining high standards of accuracy, insight, and timeliness
Champion the adoption of technology, automation, and innovative tools to improve insight, efficiency, and effectiveness across FP&A processes
Driving Segment and Group Profitability
Own the financials for the annual operating plan and long-range plan, ensuring financials align with the business and enterprise strategy.
Lead with an enterprise mindset, provides insightful and competitive analytics that drives decisions and outcomes
Influence across the organization to deliver results and inject challenge into discussions to drive growth. Effectively balances the short-term results with the long-term strategy.
Lead the capital tracking and forecasting process and bring a point of view to investment analysis and prioritization of capital resources.
Financial and Operational Controls
Ensure that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems and adherence to corporate policies and governmental regulations (GAAP, SOX compliance, etc.).
Leading and Developing Talent
Lead a high‑performing FP&A team through clear goal‑setting, empowerment, coaching, feedback, and recognition.
Actively mentor and sponsor high‑potential talent, accelerating leadership capability and readiness for future roles within Finance and the broader organization.
Align teams and resources across organizational boundaries to solve complex problems and deliver enterprise outcomes
Build trust and meaningful connections by fostering collaboration, camaraderie, and inclusion across teams and functions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant discipline.
Minimum of ten years proven finance experience.
Experience operating in organizations with multiple channels and/or manufacturing operations.
Experience leading strategic planning, operations planning, investment analysis and executive-level business reviews.
Experience developing business cases and enrolling leaders at all levels to take appropriate action.
Experience preparing and delivering board-level material and presentations.
Ability to attract, develop, and retain outstanding talent and successors.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
MBA, CMA, CPA preferred.
Experience operating within a highly matrixed structure across functional, geographic, and cultural boundaries.
Experience leading or supporting M&A due diligence and integrations.
