This role resides in the GBS organization, within the Global Finance Operations and Reporting (GFOR) team.  The FR&A analyst will be accountable for working with the business to develop strategies and options to provide reporting and analytics solutions that deliver value. The role requires advanced understanding of metrics, strong analytical skills, natural curiosity, and the ability to drive for insights from data and information. Must have a demonstrated ability to drive alignment, effectively communicate, and influence others.

 

The successful candidate will bring direct experience in problem solving, process analysis, design, and implementation of reporting and process solutions. Experience in finance, operations, analytics, BI reporting tools, and ERP systems is desirable.

 

Reports to:  The position reports to the Financial Reporting and Analytics Team Leader

 

Span of Control:  No direct reports

 

Responsibilities

 

  1. Live the Safety standards and adhere to the safety responsibilities

 

  1. Proactively work with business partners by enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities to increase speed, reliability, and drive action
    • Proactively engages with the business teams in ideation, planning, and problem-solving using Business Intelligence (BI)
    • Builds a solid understanding of needs of the business and uses of BI, helps prioritize the needs, and gains alignment on desired outcomes
    • Drives the use and ownership of BI within the organization

 

  1. Sustain and grow the organization’s use of BI
    • Monitors usage and engages with business leaders to ensure the organization has the right level of analytical competency to gain insights and drive actions
    • Provides training and support to educate stakeholders on the best ways to leverage BI tools
    • Collaborates and enables knowledge sharing; keen ability to document processes and details of work

 

  1. Translate business requirements and strategies into tangible solution options and work with the technical team in the BI COE to implement approved solutions
    • Guide the blueprint and development of functional specifications for business solutions
    • Test and certify solutions
    • Drive the adoption of the solution in the organization

 

  1. Develop a good understanding of OC standards, BI architecture, and roadmap to design sustainable and scalable solutions
    • Demonstrate ability to create, maintain, and organize documentation to enable knowledge sharing and a clear understanding of project deliverables and outcomes
    • Exhibit an awareness and understanding of the latest trends in analytics, leveraging them in potential solutions to meet the business needs
    • Be a steward to implement financial and operational standards and metrics in BI applications

 

Job Requirements

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business, information systems, or finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline
  • Proven experience using BI tools to design and build visualizations, reports, and dashboards to support critical business KPIs (Power BI, Business Objects, SAC Data Analyzer, Power Query, etc.)
  • Experience with governance, controls, process and procedures, conceptual data modeling, and master data management
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP
  • Experience with business consulting and requirements gathering, including scope, schedule, risk, resources, and change management
